The City of Hayward, in an attempt to enhance the downtown area, adopted design criteria to ensure consistency in the Redevelopment Area. These criteria, more restrictive compared to normal retail planning standards, provided challenges to Architectural Dimensions. Utilizing some of the neighboring shapes and forms, we mixed materials to project an urban image while maintaining an inviting shopping environment.
